If you are a fan of bullet hell shooters or if you like good games in general, you might want to check this one out. The elaborate scoring system makes it a fantastic arcade game that you can sink countless hours into. The developer is also very helpful and fixed a problem I had with the controls right away.. A shmup with a twist: shoot the reds and avoid their fire as you try to bounce off the blues to gain a shield and rack up bonuses. And don't forget to destroy the greens for extra points while you're at it. Yes, it does get a wee bit hectic. All in glorious 80s inspired neon and laser art.. Their hasn't been a Flump Studios Video game i did'nt like. their like the Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's of Old school games. Even their bad games are fun. It would be way harder if there wasn't checkpoints right before and after bosses. I only played the first three stages and didn't finish the third. The game is also really easy to get the hang of and get better at. The part that is hard isn't the fact that there is hundreds of things that can kill you that are on the screen, it is that you will accidentially run into them from messing up. Worst platformer\/shooter I've played in ages.This game gets it all wrong. Gamepad controls can't be configured and the configuration is badly chosen. Rules are poorly explained, complex and not any fun. And finally, after only a few minutes of gameplay, when I tried to restart from the first level in classic mode the game locked up on me.. Really addictive and fun. Hyper Bounce Blast is a sort of follow up to Horizon Shift, as in it's an another game that puts an another new twist on the classic arcade shooter genre. Now Horizon Shift was a cool game however I felt confused by it's mechanics at times (probably my own fault because i'm not that used to crazy mechanics) however this game is a completely different story.HBB's main mechanic is as expected, bouncing! You bounce off blue platforms and enemies and while you are in the air bouncing, you cannot be killed and the higher you bounce, the more points you will get when shooting enemies. So it becomes an interesting game of multitasking because you have to maintain your bouncing while also dealing with enemies and obstacles that appear in later waves and frankly? It never gets TOO HARD, it's always fair, so when I mess up it is my fault because I wasn't paying attention because everything in this game is telegraphed very well in advance.Also the bosses definitely not dissapoint and make full use of the mechanics, so expect hectic platforming shooting action on those!Overall, I highly recommend this game for everyone, even those who do not play these games.
